Bundle 1
Basic Consulting Bundle
(15 hours)
Four Key Courses delivered in seven, three-hour bursts
The
Consulting Bundle was created to respond to assist the work of
professionals operating in both internal and external
capacity. The objective of
the Consulting Bundle is to increase a
technical professional's competence in consulting skills. In today’s world of work, every time there is a new technology adopted,
or a change in the customers needs or a new regulation signed into effect,
a new consulting need is born.
This
bundle develops the ability to build relationships, which is extremely critical in navigating the waters of
today’s complex organizations.
In those organizations, the ability to get things done
is by trust and partnering, and by understanding and respecting
the domain of the internal partners. Finally, the fast moving world of large organizations
requires the ability to gather relevant information from others in an
effort to solve business problems is paramount.
Once that information has been collected, there are several
steps to follow: Diagnose
the nature of the problem, secure agreement with the other
department(s) as to what actions need to be taken and - most
importantly - to contract on
a wide range of implementation.
