The Leadership Skills Bundle was
created to assist professionals who either have been identified with a
managerial potential, and are
offered tools to prepare them prior to assumption of supervisory
duties; or who have been relatively recently promoted to a supervisory
capacity.
It
is for obvious reasons the longest Bundle.
It starts with the Communications and Relationship Building
modules. The next two
modules cover the essentials of management function including
planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the departmental work
load. It then provides
skills of Team development, offers insights into Team dynamics and
Team stages and highlights the roles of the shifting relationships of
participating at times and leading at others.
The
Bundle continues with the key skill of effectively planning and
conducting productive meetings. Meetings
that get things done, not wasting time and involving everyone in the
team to contribute to the best of their ability.
Given the amount of time spent on meetings, this is a key tool
for every successful manager and supervisor.
Finally, in every aspect of work life, conflict is bound to arise.
The successful managers know how to identify it, address it and
manage it so that it becomes a source of Team growth rather than an
impediment to communications and productivity.
